With her passionate and dedicated approach to teaching, internationally recognized arranger/composer Jill Townsend will provide you with the necessary tools to develop a strong foundation in basic jazz arranging. As the leader of the renowned Jill Townsend Big Band, National Jazz Awards nominee for Best Large Jazz Ensemble in 2006 and 2008, Jill brings her personal writing and arranging experience to help you in understanding the essentials of jazz theory, creating lead sheets, learning to write for small and large jazz ensembles, and working toward developing your own musical voice.
